  • Pre-pregnancy Counselling

Booking Your First appointment:

Please call the practice to enquire about appointment schedules, antenatal care package and fee structure. Allow 45mins to an hour for your first consultation.

It’s best to book your first appointment when you are about 8-10 weeks pregnant. Ideally you should see your regular GP first, when you get a positive pregnancy test. He or she can discuss all the initial tests and give you a referral to see me.

The first consultation involves me getting to know you and your partner. Its important that I get a full medical and family history to identify any pertinent issues that may impact on your pregnancy. This is to ensure the best outcome for you and your baby.

I will also discuss briefly the antenatal care schedule so that you know what to expect at each visit. More detailed discussion will occur during each visit as your pregnancy progresses. There is a lot of information and I take as much time as is necessary!

Things to bring for your first appointment:

GP referral letter

Medicare Card and Health insurance details

Blood tests and ultrasound scans done by your GP

Any documents or results from previous Specialists or                              hospital admissions
